Sublimation printing is a remarkable process that allows printers to print custom on a variety of substrates.

The result is a photographic quality image transferred to a substrate that will not crack, peel, or wash off. For printers the real value is the amount of different products that can be offered to customers, with a relatively low investment in equipment and supplies. This chemical process takes specialty inks heated to 400 degrees on a heat press and transfers them polyester fabric or a substrate with a polymer coating. Most sublimation systems will cost less than two thousand dollars. Pictured above is a number of samples printed on sublimation blanks on one of the heat presses in the Lawson showroom.
