With Image-Jet Lite 2 Paper, you can transfer your photos and images to T-shirts. sweatshirts, aprons, or just about any cotton, cotton-blend, or polyester fabric. For best results, use light-colored material with a smooth surface.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Image-Jet Lite 2

• A color ink jet printer
• Hand iron or a commercial heat press
• A flat, hard, smooth, non-porous ironing surface such as a countertop.
• Do not use an ironing board, wood, glass, or metal.
• A pillowcase
• T-shirt,-sweatshirt

PRINTING
The print side is the unprinted side of the sheet. Follow your printer instructions for loading the sheet and feed one sheet at a time. Choose the setting on your printer to reverse (flip or mirror) the image.

Suggested Printer Settings are
HP – Iron on Transfer at normal or best quality
Epson – 360 dpi ink jet paper or photo quality paper at 360 or 720 dpi
Canon – T-shirt transfer at default settings
Lexmark – Iron on Transfer at Best quality either 600 or 1200 dpi
* not recommended for use in HP1200C or 1600C

Trim the paper close to the printed area, leaving only a small ¼” margin. Round the edges, when possible to improve adhesion.

TRANSFERRING THE IMAGE
HAND IRONING – The iron should be preheated to the hottest setting and be completely emptied of water and set to the dry setting. Iron the shirt to remove any wrinkles and excess moisture. Iron on a safe hard surface like a counter top. Do not iron on a wood, glass or metal surface. Place the transfer face down on the garment. Iron, using the heaviest pressure, in straight lines vertically and horizontally over the entire image. Make sure to overlap the edges. A full page 8.5 x 11” will require 3 minutes of ironing and a half sheet will require 1.5 minutes. Fabric should cool completely and then paper should be peeled using an even motion.

HEAT PRESS – Set the heat press to 350°F. Prepress fabric for a few seconds to remove wrinkle and excess moisture. Allow the garment to cool. Place the transfer face down on the garment. Using medium pressure, press for 20 seconds. Allow transfer to cool before removing paper in an even motion.

LAUNDERING – It is recommended that you wait at least 24 hours prior to washing the garment for the first time. For the initial wash, turn garment inside out and wash separately in cool water. Immediately remove garment from washer and put in dryer at warm setting. If left wet in washer the inks may bleed. NEVER use bleach. To iron the shirt, do not put iron directly on the transferred area.

STORAGE OF PAPER – Return unused portion of paper to a sealed bag. Keep product in a cool dry environment away from heating and cooling sources.

IMPORTANT
Image-Jet Lite is designed for use in most consumer ink jet printers.

1. This paper has been tested in most standard brands of printers, but no claims or guarantees are made as to its suitability for any specific printer brand. Due to the differences in the inks used by the various ink jet printers, always test to determine (the suitability of Image-Jet Lite in conjunction with your equipment and methods.
2. Test by printing your image on a sheet of plain paper.
3. If you are satisfied with how your image looks, insert a single sheet of Image-Jet Lite in your printer. Place the paper in the printer so as to print on the blank side. Make sure that the paper is not creased or curled.
4. In your printer driver, select the dpi setting (resolution) and the correct pa-per setting for your type of printer.

Store Image-Jet Lite in a cool. dry place.
After opening (the shrink wrapped package, put the paper into a re-sealable plastic bag, if available.
This will keep the paper from picking up excess moisture.

CANON: T-shirt transfers.
EPSON: Plain paper or 360 dpi photo quality paper.
HEWLETT-PACKARD: Plain paper or special paper.
Make sure that you have selected T-shirt transfer, 'Mirror', 'Flip', or 'Reverse' in your application, so that the image will be printed backwards.
