FastINK DYE Black Cartridges


***For the best screen printing positives, install a FastINK cartridge in Slot 5 and Slot 8 in place of the Light Black and Light Light Black.

Ink Cartriage Slots:

Slot 1 = Matte Black or Photo Black
Slot 2 = Cyan
Slot 3 = Magenta
Slot 4 = Yellow
Slot 5 = Light Black *** replace with FastINK
Slot 6 = Light Cyan
Slot 7 = Light Magenta
Slot 8 = Light Light Black *** replace with FastINK

IMPORTANT:
There are nine ink cartridges including user-interchangeable Photo and Matte Black. Install the Photo Black instead of MATTE BLACK because when the printer starts for the first time it will write the cartridge information to the firmware. It requires an EPSON technician; many purge cleaning cycles & wasted ink to clean the tube system of UltraChrome pigment ink.

FastINK Black DYE Cartridges WILL work in UltraChrome printers - EPSON black DYE cartridges will not. FastINK™ is the best DYE based ink for making digital screen printing positives on the market. It is specially formulated for coated clear film and is designed to be quick drying, scratch resistant and have excellent UV blocking characteristics.

One of the black cartridges must be REPLACED with a DYE INK cartridge for making positives unless you want to use more expensive pigment film. You do not want to install a black pigment cartridge because it is almost impossible to purge the pigment ink when you want to switch to DYE ink.
